A whole room of people will walk into AINext Dubai on the 22nd of October knowing this, and a few of them will leave having actually changed something. Most will not. The difference is not the talks. It is how you work the day.
Doers Versus Stallers
Here is what I keep noticing about who pulls ahead. It is not the biggest budgets or the fanciest tools. It is the people who stopped waiting for AI to be perfect and put it to work on one real, annoying, expensive problem they had almost given up on.
They did not try to boil the ocean. They picked a fight they could win, won it, then moved to the next one. The stallers, meanwhile, are still in meetings about having meetings, still asking whether the timing is right.
It never quite feels right. That is not how any of this actually works.
My Playbook For The 22nd
If you want the day to pay off, do not drift through it. Try this instead:
- Pick one problem before you arrive. Walk in hunting for its answer, not just browsing.
- Sit in the sessions that scare you a little, the topics you have been avoiding.
- Leave the main stage on purpose. The best value hides in the gaps between sessions.
- Chase the corridor coffee. A rushed half-sentence with a stranger has started more of my partnerships than any keynote ever did, and a few of them are still going years later.
Why I Said Yes To The Mic
Not to hand you a tidy prediction. To knock one person out of the waiting group and into the doing group. If you leave with a single idea you can use the very next morning, I will call the whole day a win. I do not measure a talk by applause. Anyone can clap. I measure it by what you actually do on Monday.
Come And Find Me
The keynote gives you ideas. The corridor gives you the people who help you build them. So come with a plan for both. If you spot me between talks, say something. That is usually where the good stuff quietly begins anyway.
